Employment law

Our specialist lawyers offer a full service to employers including providing advice, structuring and dispute resolution. We also provide advice to employees and managers in various matters including unfair dismissals and professional development. We assist our clients in drafting employment contracts, advising on employment protection and company pension plans, and implementing the various legal requirements regarding human resources in Germany.

Areas of advice

> Advice and representation of managerial staff

We advise and represent managerial staff in respect of all legal questions and regarding their professional development. If rights under an employment contract are breached or the existence of the employment relationship is threatened, we protect the position and provide our clients with room to negotiate, particularly with respect to negotiations regarding financial settlement and the tax optimization of such a payment.

> Personnel management

In Germany human resources are subject to significant regulations: businesses and their personnel departments therefore must come to grips with employment law. We assist our clients from planning and implementing measures with respect to human resources, having regard to individual and collective employment law, through to court enforcement. Alongside the core areas (employment contracts, employment protection, award agreements and industrial constitutional law) this includes in particular areas such as company pension plans (BetrAVG – Gesetz zur Verbesserung der betrieblichen Altersversorgung – Act to improve company pension plans) and the acquisition and disposal of businesses (business transfer).
